Target Audience
This course includes a comprehensive overview of the processes of conditioning, thickening, and dewatering of wastewater solids. Through this course the student will learn:
The basic understanding of solids-handling processes and performance objectives
- The processes involved in conditioning; how they relate to thickening, dewatering, and other wastewater treatment processes; troubleshooting practices; and related chemical safety concerns
- The processes and equipment used for thickening; how thickening relates to other wastewater treatment processes; troubleshooting practices; and what safety issues are commonly encountered when handling wastewater solids
- The operating principles of dewatering processes; the relationship of dewatering to other wastewater treatment processes; related troubleshooting practices; and safety considerations
A passing score of 70% or higher is needed to successfully complete this course for CEUs.
