This webcast is second in a four part Workforce Webcast Series focusing on different workforce issues. The webcast series was developed as part of the final project for the Water Leadership Institute (WLI). Each webcast consists of different sections developed by different groups.

This webcast will consist of two components lasting 45 mins each. Please find the information for each section below. The order of the presentation is as follows:

  • Technology, Efficiency and the Operator
    • This section will discuss how utilizing different technologies can create streamlined operations, more accurate real-time data for system adjustments, ease of compliance reporting and a work/life balance that this generation desires.
  • The First 48: Planning with Certainty in Unexpected Crises
    • Natural disasters and man-made disruptions are becoming more frequent with an increasing magnitude due to the changing climate and age of built assets in a time of increased urbanization. The uncertain outcomes of these events make them difficult to plan for, but there are more and more case studies utility leaders can learn from to make informed decisions during planning, and smarter game-time decisions during the events.

There will be 1.5 Professional Development Hours (PDHs) offered for this webcast. Please check with your state accreditation agency to determine if you qualify
