During this webinar, we will have three speakers touch on climate change for both riverine and coastal systems along the eastern seaboard starting in New England, traveling to Philadelphia and ending up in Miami. From New England, David Vallee with NOAA will speak on “ Examining Our Changing Climate in New England and Its Impacts on River and Coastal Flooding.” In Philadelphia, Julia Rockwell will present on how Philadelphia Water is developing actionable climate science to inform planning, design and engineering practices with precipitation and sea level rise projections. We will end with Keren Bolter working with Miami-Dade Water and Sewer presenting “Sea Level Rise and Stormwater Flooding: Miami is Shifting from Reactive Solutions to Cost Effective and Equitable Prevention via Future-Proofing.”
